1961年山口県に生まれたSENOHは、9歳で初めてカメラと望遠鏡を手にして、天体写真を撮るようになる。
10歳の時には自分で現像、焼き付けを手掛けるようになり、
12歳の時、日本科学振興展で「写真による月面の観測」が史上最年少で金賞受賞となり、その写真の技術レベルの高さで周囲を驚かす。
以後、天体写真にとどまらず、人物を始め動物、植物、風景など、様々なものを撮るようになる。
現在でも天体写真の影響はSENOHが作品を撮影する際、常に「長い時間を経過しても色褪せぬもの」という
根底にある作品としての写真に対しての考え方に色濃く反映される。
1979年、日本大学芸術学部写真学科に進学。卒業後（株）日本デザインセンターを経て、
1983年より、フリーランスフォトグラファーとして広告、雑誌等で幅広く活躍中。
1994年度、『繊研新聞年間広告大賞グランプリ』受賞、その他受賞多数。

Ichiro Senoh was born in Japan1961.
At the age of 10 he began handling cameras and telescopes and taking astrophotographs, developing and printing his own work.
When he was12, he won a prize for “Exploring the Moon surface through photography”
at the “Exhibition for Advancement of Science” in Japan.
Being the youngest contestant to win this prize, everybody was impressed with the high technique of photography used by Senoh.
Since then he has taken not only astrophotographies but also people, animales, plants and landscapes.
Still now, the influence of astrophotography is seen in his quest that a photo must capture those this things
which (like the constalations) remain unchanging and forever.
In 1979 he took a photography course in the art department of Nippon University.
After the graduation, he worked at Nippon Design Center Co., Ltd.
In1983 established the “Senoh Photo Office” Now he is a leading figure in verious fields such as advertisement, magazines etc.
